Going to hell in a handbasket", "going to hell in a handcart", "going to hell in a handbag" or '"sending something to hell in a handbasket" &c. are variations on an American alliterative locution of unclear origin, which describes a situation headed for disaster without effort or in great haste.
Its first use recorded in the Oxford English Dictionary is in a historical work of 1865 by I. Windslow Ayer entitled The Great North-Western Conspiracy in All Its Startling Details, with the quote: "Thousands of our best men were prisoners in Camp Douglas, and if once at liberty would ‘send abolitionists to hell in a hand basket.'"

Burger King onion rings for lunch today.....zesty sauce is soo good.
When I was sick, all I wanted was onion rings. What'd they let me have? 1 teaspoon every 10 minutes of the following: bananas, rice, applesauce, toast. That does not satisfy any kinda craving.
Brought my cards with me to work and figured I'd get some sent out. They are still sitting where I left them.
I have no motivation lately. NONE! For anything.....
Won 2 things yesterday! Can't use either! Get this...2 tix to an afternoon mixer (read semi-intimate, maybe 50 people) with the Plain White T's!! AT NOON!!! Really, who has a job that allows them to just take off for an afternoon like this? 2nd thing....2 spots on the guest list to the Voo Doo Lounge in San Jose. Can't make it to that either. Can't they just give me a nice Paris Hilton fragrance gift basket like last time? Or wine tasting tix like the time before?
So glad its almost the weekend. I have no plans. Bowling, thats it. I can hear my couch calling already.
Its one week til Antonio's birthday party, ask me if I'm ready. Thats a big negative! (See above post re: motivation!)
Oh well, 3 more hours til quittin' time!

I have zero motivation too!! Its horrible huh? If you were closer we could hang out and be un-motivated together!! LOL
i never win anything! lucky! but yeah...stuff for the middle of the day makes no sense. that kinda stuff should be for weekends only.
i hear ya on the motivation factor. mine is seriously lacking, too.
