Ok, so I took a while off from blogging. I won't lie....I didn't have time, never signed in and forgot the name and address of my own blog! Don't judge me!!
Life has taken a few turns lately...
...I'm unemployed. Apparently our branch wasn't performing well, so they came in and closed it. Just.like.that.
...I'm still in school....taking Geology with an online lab this semester. Not my cuppa tea.
...Family is good. Antonio is excelling in school and I couldn't be more proud. Freddie is Freddie. We've had more than our fair share of curveballs over the past few months, but we just keep marching on. It will get better (or so I'm told).
What else??
I'm loving having time to read and not feeling like I'm forcing myself just for the sake of saying I've been reading. I read about 3 books in a weeks time. Being home is not my thing....I'm bored, but reading was my escape and it worked. I last posted about Chelsea Handler's book, Chelsea Chelsea Bang Bang. I did end up finishing it and was completely disappointed. I bought her latest one, Lies Chelsea Handler Told Me. I loved it! It was written by her friends and staff and then at the end of each chapter, she puts in her 2 cents. I devoured this book. Just thinking of some of the shit she pulls almost made me pee my pants. I also finished Life From Scratch and If You Were Here: A Novel. Jen Lancaster never disappoints.
I feel like I may never get a handle on this laundry situation I have going on. Its a mess. Antonio changes clothes about 3 times a day and then mixes clean and dirty clothes. The mound I have to do is ridiculous. I did about 5 loads the other day and you can actually see a difference. That's positive, right? If I keep up at that rate for about a week, I may catch up....I said may.
Oooh, oooh.....I made dinner the other night. Not microwaved or ordered in or whatnot. I made it from scratch (well my kind of scratch). We had baked pork chops, pasta roni (don't judge me) and carrots. I mean, hello, I even got a vegetable on the menu! I was and still am proud of myself. Those of you who know me, know that me and the kitchen are not friends. Its like a foreign country and I don't have a passport. I try tho. I've only been deported a few times in the recent past.
Well now that I've gotten all of that off my chest, I guess its time to finish this glass of wine and call it a day. I have a busy day of nothing ahead of me tomorrow. Believe me, this doing nothing thing can wear you out!!
